Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Ball Valves – On/Off
This explosion-proof valve provides a means to control flow of liquids, gas or other media in potentially explosive environments. The valve is powered by an electric actuator & has two options for position control: a two-position or modulating model. Both models are available with weatherproof or explosion-proof housing & a range of supply voltages.
Electric actuated explosion-proof dual certified (low emission/fire safe) investment cast 2-piece Full Port 150# flanged body & ball offers great flow rates with minimal pressure drop. They come with a choice of ANSI or NPT end connections & NEMA, UL, CSA & DIN mounting. They can be fitted with manual, pneumatic & electric actuators for on-off control of air, water, oil, gas, chemical & other media compatible with the materials of construction. The standard unit is power-to-open and power-to-close, stays in the last known position on loss of power. On receipt of a continuous signal, the motor runs and via a self-locking gear drive rotates the ball. Internal cams strike limit switches on receipt of a reversing continuous signal stopping the motor & resetting the valve position.
The valve features a blowout-proof stem, reinforced PTFE seats & seals & a 316 SS (ASTM CF8M) ball for longer life. Actuators are direct mounted creating a compact assembly for tight spaces and are able to be fitted with optional limit switches allowing for remote position indication. They are corrosion resistant & have an electropolished 32 Ra finish that helps prevent product buildup & inhibits bacteria growth. Sanitary quick-clamp fittings w/ Yor-Lok sleeves bite into tubing as you tighten the nut, for a secure, leak-tight connection. Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Ball Valves – On/Off
